Vanderbilt Law To Roll Out midpage To All Students
Our collaboration with Vanderbilt's AI Law Lab will expose Vanderbilt law students to the future of legal research.
We’re excited to announce our collaboration with Vanderbilt AI Law Lab (VAILL) to bring our AI-powered legal research platform to all Vanderbilt law students.
Students will benefit from this collaboration in two concrete ways.
First, the collaboration will expose students to a unique use of generative AI. Rather than focusing exclusively on legal research, most AI tools for lawyers target various end users (law firm partners, associates, paralegals, administrators, in-house counsel, and tax professionals) with different use cases (across transactional, tax, and litigation departments).
The collaboration will expose students to a unique use of generative AI.
The midpage platform, on the other hand, is purpose-built for litigators and law students who do in-depth legal research. Our focused approach enables us to build more precise features tailored for legal research, like notebook-building tools, AI-powered annotations that adapt to your research over time, and grid-based searching capabilities. As a result, our platform creates a unique user experience.
Second, students can turn to midpage for assistance with assigned readings. For the past year, students from 50+ top law schools have come to midpage to help them wrestle with complex case law, sense-check their understanding of cases, and prepare for in-class participation. Learn more about the student use cases here.
The collaboration will further VAILL’s mission to explore how AI will fundamentally change legal education and the practice of law. At midpage, we’re excited to reimagine the future of legal research with the curious students at Vanderbilt.
