Problem & Solution: Searching for Facts
There are a million little things that bother me about legal research. Retyping terms when I iterate on my search queries is just one example. Here's how midpage fixes it.
The Problem:
Often, your search will include terms about a legal issue and a few terms about the facts of your own case.
When you switch from researching the enforceability issue to researching personal jurisdiction, for example, you need to enter a new search. But the facts remain the same. And as a result, you end up typing the fact terms over and over and over.
It may sound like no big deal. But it is. It becomes a real annoyance when you iterate on your searches and are peppered with distractions throughout the course of your research.
The Solution:
To save yourself time as you iterate on your search, add a few facts about your case into your midpage session, and check the “Include your facts” box when you search.
This will also enable a suite of generative AI features.
More on those features next week…stay tuned.
